Chateau Petrus Model - front detail

This architectural model is one of the finest pieces ever made by David Linley. Only 5 models have been produced; this is a unique piece for a unique wine cellar.

The box is constructed in sycamore with various veneers depicting the roof and architectural details on all elevations. There is a 3 dimensional portico flanked by two turned urns and a recessed arches each side. The right elevation has an inset gateway with a laser cut stainless steel gate.

There is a secret drawer in the right elevation which opens via a push catch and reveals a LINLEY ‘Waiter’s friend’ inside. The stepped plinth box has a marquetry pattern inspired by the Petrus label on all elevations. The model and lower moulding lift and hinge open on the rear face to reveal 3 wine bottles stored inside an impressive barrel wine cellar.

The dimensions of the completed bespoke piece are 1234mm high, 630mm wide and 630 mm deep (48.5ins x 24.8ins x 24.8ins)
