David Linley

Margaux box construction David Linley

Nephew to Queen Elizabeth II, Viscount Linley founded his specialised business in 1985, following training at Parnham House, the school for craftsmen in wood. At the time, Sir Roy Strong, then Director of the Victoria and Albert museum, commented “David Linley’s furniture will become the antiques of the future”.

More than 20 years on, LINLEY now enjoys prominence as a bespoke business specialising in the design and production of furniture, upholstery and interiors of superlative quality.

The crafting of each cabinet commences following a detailed study of the château’s architecture. David Linley is personally involved in ensuring that each cabinet benefits from both technical accuracy and faultless presentation that befits a precious piece of furniture.

These magnificent pieces will be both fine wine collections of incomparable value and heirlooms of the future.   A unique hallmark of LINLEY’s work is the inclusion of ‘secret compartments’ and each Grand Cru Château Collection cabinet features a special additional storage compartment.
